Included with your valance are two “L” brackets. The brackets should be attached securely to your wall above the window either directly into a stud or in drywall with anchors sufficient to withstand the weight of the valence. The screws that come with the brackets may not be sufficient to hold your shade in place in drywall and additional hardware may be required. The screws should be sufficient to secure the brackets to the mounting block of your valance.
